My husband and I would like to extend our gratitude to the Mill Park Hotel for hosting our wedding reception. We knew we wanted to find a venue that felt like us and had the hospitality of home. The atmosphere at the Mill Park is warm and inviting, as is the staff. It was an easy choice for our wedding after only one visit.From the beginning of the planning process, Mary and Tony were open and honest. They gave great advice, were open to ideas, and were flexible with what we wanted for our day. Mary was willing to meet with us several times to discuss options and customize the event to make it our own. She was thorough and made sure we had everything covered so our day would flow smoothly.
On the day, the staff was very organized and calm which made us feel stress-free. The staff at the Mill Park Hotel is professional without being pretentious. They were genuine and friendly with our guests. It was nice to be surrounded by down-to earth people who made everyone feel at home. Their hospitality made our day so warm and relaxed.
Alongside great service came great food. We had difficulty deciding on our dinner menu as everything we tasted was delicious. A few of our guests had allergies and gluten-intolerance, but nothing was a problem. Many of our guests commented that the chicken mushroom voulevant starter was the best food they had ever eaten! From start to finish, everything tasted amazing.
The location of the hotel was perfect for both our local and international guests. Just a short walk from Donegal Town, we were able to enjoy the area the next day. Many of our guests stayed for sight-seeing tours of local cliffs, beaches, and castles, while others continued the party with a town pub-crawl.
We had a great night celebrating into the wee hours of the morning and we can`t wait to go back. Thank you to everyone at the Mill Park Hotel for making the best day of our lives so warm and laidback. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

"Our wedding took place in the Mill Park Hotel made it a day we will never forget and we were very grateful for all their help, attention to detail and professionalism throughout. Everyone we spoke to said they had a brilliant day and they were very impressed with how well Mary and the all the staff looked after them. The food was excellent and the manner in which the staff treated our family was very personable and courteous. We will thoroughly recommend the Mill Park Hotel to all of our friends and family in the future. We chose the Mill Park hotel for our wedding as Mary and Tony both gave such a good impression when we first met them. We could see that the Mill Park is a lovely hotel which is very well maintained, and we appreciated the effort the management have put in to making the place so welcoming. The reception area was perfect for our family and friends to meet in and relax with a few drinks. The function room is also excellent – it is a big enough room for large weddings but The Mill Park staff were able to make our smaller group fill out the room very well. All of us enjoyed the great food and service. The suite we stayed in was also fantastic, spacious and modern. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful to us throughout our stay. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mill Park Hotel for truly making the most special day in our lives so memorable."

"We had just got engaged and the excitement was great we were aiming for 14/15 months time and dates were hard to come by, but the Mill Park hotel had 2 dates left so we went and seen Tony, as soon as I arrived I loved the place, the grounds were beautiful and the inside was amazing! Tony talked us through all the packages, showed us the function room set up and the bridal suite, we knew straight away this was where we wanted to have our wedding reception! So we chose our date and paid our deposit!! Any questions or queries that we had it were only a matter of emailing Mary or ringing and all the staff were more than helpful. As the week of our wedding approached everything was hectic, but Mary and her team took all the stress and worry out of it, "don't worry about it leave it to me" she said. Our wedding day had finally arrived and as our cars pulled up to the Mill Park we were met with red carpet and champagne, we felt like royalty, Mary took us straight through to show us the function room, which just looked amazing! Our guests got seated and the speeches began, as soon as they were over we were all receiving our food which was beautiful and piping hot, dishes were left no time until they were picked up and the next course was served. Mary and her wonderful team were so attentive to all the guests and the wedding party they ensured that everything went perfect from start to finish. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough absolutely brilliant!!"

"We viewed a few venues for our wedding but none felt right until we walked into the Mill Park. From the first hello they made us feel welcome and that our wedding was number one for them. The entire staff could not have done any more for us to make our day go so smoothly. Our whole families are still raving about what a good day they had and how they never enjoyed a wedding as much as they did ours and how they had never seen a hotel as lovely as the Mill Park. We cannot recommend the hotel enough as a wedding reception venue as they know exactly how to make the day feel special and how to take away so many of the little stresses involved with a wedding reception and some we hadn't even thought of but with their help we had some amazing finishing touches to wow our guests even more. They did so much for us and every question and worry we had leading up to the big day was met with a smile and sorted out there and then. It is a first class service they deliver and we can't wait to go back! It’s actually kind of difficult to put into words just how incredible you all were to us and how grateful we both were as you all made our wedding the best day of our lives Thank-you so much."

"When it came to choosing our Wedding venue we wanted something warm and inviting, and something that had a beautiful country and family feel. The Millpark was this and more. Our guests were travelling from the States, Australia, Canada, Kerry, Cork and Dublin so we wanted to make sure that they had an amazing experience to remember in Donegal and they still talk about it! We both love the sea, and so our photos were taken on Murvagh Beach (10 minutes from Hotel). Ideal location. Plus with onsite accommodation and indoor pool, all the children (big and small) were very satisfied. Overall our full wedding experience was perfect- from atmosphere, service, food (fantastic) and overall price we could not have been happier. I would not change a thing."

"Ian & I had our wedding at Mill Park Hotel. The whole experience was exceptional. Firstly Mary made us feel very welcome and at ease with our planning for our special day. The staff helped us to cater for some of our guests who through illness needed rooms closer to the function room which put them at ease. On the day the food, service and bridal suite was fantastic and the staff could not be more helpful. Our guests also commented on how impressed they where with the food and hotel in general. "Our first impression of the hotel was wonderful, from the moment we walked in the door to meet the wedding coordinator ‘Mary Sammon’ to view the hotel as a potential wedding venue we were impressed. The ambiance was lovely with the large fireplace and Balcony in the hotel foyer. Mary was very welcoming and there was great banter from the get go. We viewed the hotel and had some lunch, which was beautiful and headed on our way. At that point we knew that was the venue for our wedding reception. On arrival at the Mill Park on our wedding day the staff couldn’t do enough to make our day special, we were put at ease immediately. The function room looked amazing; the attention to detail was evident in every part of the room. The food we received was so beautiful and all our guests have been raving about it since. The staff was so well coordinated and everything was orchestrated to perfection. Our friends and family have referred to it as one of the best weddings ever! The grounds of the hotel were lovely and provided the perfect backdrop for photographs and the honeymoon suite was such a treat, it had been recently renovated and we got such a lovely surprise when we entered it for the first time. Breakfast was served to us in our room and we were able to sit and enjoy it in front of the lovely fire in the suite. We could not recommend the Mill Park Hotel highly enough as a wedding venue, our wedding day was FLAWLESS and a lot of that was a result of the professionalism and attention to detail of all the staff . Thanks so much to Tony, Mary and all the staff for everything, we are so looking forward to spending our first anniversary at the Mill Park Hotel. "

"We would like to thank the staff of the Millpark Hotel for the excellent service provided to us and our guests on our Wedding Day. We could not have been happier with how the whole weekend went for us and our guests. From our initial meeting we were made to feel so special each time we came to the hotel. The staff were a huge support in answering any queries we had and happy to help with any additional things we asked for...nothing was a problem. We enjoyed the friendly and professional manner of every member of staff, they could not do enough for us and our guests, we could not have asked for any better! The foyer of the hotel is just so homely to relax in with a glass of champagne and the piano tinkling in the background. The ballroom decor was simply jaw dropping for us! The food was excellent and there was a great selection available for us to choose from for our meal. The service during the meal was super, plenty to eat and drink! The bridal suite was lovely, we were so glad we stayed the second night. On the day we felt totally relaxed knowing we were in capable hands. "We had our Wedding in the Millpark and from our initial visit until the day after the Wedding everything was seamless- they exceeded all our expectations. The team are very professional and have a wealth of experience they looked after us the whole way and are very flexible from packages to price plans. They are understanding knowing that Weddings can get a little stressful and offer great advice and recommendations. They took care of everything on the day and no request was too small. Every member of staff goes out of their way to make your day so special, from the Wedding coordinators Mary and Niamh, the owner Tony to the floor staff and everyone in between they pulled out all the stops! The main room is perfectly decorated and the team will help you with any theming. The food is amazing and loads of it, no one left hungry and everyone commented on how amazing the food is. "We had our wedding reception at the Mill Park Hotel We both loved the venue, we really couldn't fault the place at all. As we were organising the wedding from abroad, we were slightly nervous about how things would turn out, however, Mary really was a great help and the whole day ran like clockwork The ball room looked outstanding with its twinkling lights and the tables were just perfect. The staff were brilliant and made sure we were never without a drink or whatever else we needed. So many of our guests commented on how professional and friendly the staff were and how quick the service was and how nice the food was. "We had or wedding in the Mill Park Hotel and i knew from the moment i met Mary and the staff that i was going to have no worries' on my wedding day and i was right! The reception room was beautiful and food was excellent! my wedding guests are still talking about the fabulous food and how they were so full, but couldn't resist a second helping!!!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and went out of their way to help our guests and were so kind and helpful towards their children. we get people telling us it was the best wedding they had been to and that the hotel was fantastic!!! i had so much fun from the moment we got out of the wedding car to entering the reception, the staff made it so much fun and seemed just as excited as we were! The guests commented on what a brilliant atmosphere there was all day! we stayed the next night again with a few friends and have to say the bar staff are excellent and very welcoming it was like our second home for the weekend! we really wish we could do it all again and i will be recommending the mill park to all my friends!!"
